The Thoroton Society
is the county’s principal historical and archaeological society. It is named in honour of Dr Robert Thoroton who published the first history of Nottinghamshire in 1677. This is the official website for the Woodborough Photographic Recording Group. The website contains a vast and varied historical account of the village and its people since Domesday. The Group has over 3,600 digitally stored photos in its database, these date from the year 1862 onwards, and since year 2000, digital photography onwards.
